Union Terminal Celebrates 75 Years! Cincinnati celebrates one of its crown jewels. One of Cincinnati’s most identifiable and most beloved buildings will mark its 75th anniversary in 2008 with 6 months of celebration, a Diamond Jubilee! Be sure to take advantage of the programming planned throughout the year, and visit the online exhibit to learn more about this glorious Art Deco masterpiece. "Gateway to the City: Cincinnati Union Terminal at Seventy-Five" ExhibitThis exhibit details the history of Cincinnati’s most treasured architectural icon. Free to the public during regular museum hours, the exhibit is open now through October 12 in the John A. Ruthven Exhibit Gallery, with support from the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati. "Celebrating Union Terminal's Architecture"Take a High Steel Tour, led by Cincinnati Heritage Program docents. Tickets can be booked by calling (513) 287-7021. Tickets are $10 for members and $15 for general public. September 20: 10, 11 a.m. and noon September 21: 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. October 11: 10, 11 a.m. and noon October 12: 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Tour the Geier Collections and Research CenterGo behind-the-scenes at Cincinnati Museum Center’s collections facility and see where all the artifacts not on display at the museum are preserved and stored. September 17- 3:30 to 5 p.m. Free Friday The three museums at Museum Center are FREE and open to the public from 4 to 8 p.m. on select days throughout the summer. September 12 Project Vintage FashionDon’t miss this collaborative program with UC/DAAP's Fashion Design Program and Macy's, as Museum Center displays vintage clothes from various decades from its collections. See new pieces created by UC students, inspired by actual fashion artifacts! September 4 This hip evening will serve as the crowning celebration for the 75th Anniversary. Advance tickets are $50 per person and include: open bar, light hors d'oeuvres, Celebrity DJ and a Late Night Cincinnati Icon Buffet!
