Cincinnati Museum Center promotes the creation and dissemination of knowledge by supporting original research in the realms of history and natural history. |
Museum Center houses its science collection a state-of-the-art facility on Gest Street. The collection and research mission is to generate knowledge about natural and cultural history through original research, preserve this knowledge in the form of the Museum's collections and associated information base, and to assist in the dissemination of this knowledge through exhibits, educational programs, publications, and other media. Research and collecting focus on the core subject areas of: Archaeology, Invertebrate and Vertebrate Paleontology, Herpetology, and Ornithology. In these areas our new collections facility will strive to serve as a regional repository for collections, as well as amassing nationally and internationally important collections.
