Cincinnati Museum Center (herein after “CMC”) its subsidiaries and affiliated companies will conduct the Contest substantially as described in these rules, and by participating, each participant agrees as follows:
1. Description of Contest/Participation.
Between October 29, 2009 and November 16, 2009 participants may upload photos to a special photo album on Cincinnati Museum Center’s Facebook page for the contest, Your Royal Pet. In the Your Royal Pet contest, participant’s pet photos should demonstrate how their pet is treated like royalty in their household. From November 17 through November 30, visitors to Cincinnati Museum Center’s Facebook page may vote for their favorite submitted photograph from ten finalists selected by Cincinnati Museum Center staff by using the “Like” feature on Facebook. Voting closes on November 30 at noon, at which point the top three photos with the highest number of votes will win prizes. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend upon the number of participants, number of photos submitted and subjective evaluations of photographs by participants and Cincinnati Museum Center staff.
A. Dates of Contest: The contest will begin on October 29, 2009 and finish on November 16, 2009.
B. How to Enter: Participants will be required to have a Facebook account to upload photographs to Cincinnati Museum Center’s Facebook page.
C. How to Play: Participants can upload pictures they have taken of their own pets to a photo album titled, Your Royal Pet, on Cincinnati Museum Center’s Facebook page between October 29, 2009 and November 16, 2009. Participants may then enter a new photo album on Cincinnati Museum Center’s Facebook page, The Most Royal Pets, and click “Like” under their favorite photograph – and may only vote once.
D. Winner Notification and Acceptance: Winners will be notified via Facebook. If a winner cannot be contacted within 48 hours, CMC reserves the right to not award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion.
Prizes will be awarded in the name of the individual who submitted the winning photograph. The winner must first contact CMC via Facebook. The Contest Administrator will then coordinate with the winner via Facebook as to how the winner can pick up their prizes from Cincinnati Museum Center. Acceptance of any prize constitutes winner’s consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation to the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of CMC. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes.
E. Other Requirements: CMC reserves the right to cancel the entire event without notice. CMC reserves the right to change or modify the rules without prior notice.

Second Place wins:
• Four(4) tickets to the exhibit, Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science
• Four(4) tickets to the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater film, Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs
• $15 gift certificate to spend in Cincinnati Museum Center Store to Explore and The Collector’s Gallery
• One $15 gift certificate to a local pet store
Third Place wins:
• Two(2) tickets to the exhibit, Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science
• Two(2) tickets to the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater film, Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs
• $10 gift certificate to spend in Cincinnati Museum Center Store to Explore and The Collector’s Gallery
• One $10 gift certificate to a local pet store
Prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. All prizes must be redeemed by December 11, 2009. If a winner cannot be contacted from the information provided on Facebook within 48 hours or is disqualified, CMC reserves the right to not award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion.
3. Eligibility and Limitations. Participants and winner(s) must be U.S. residents. Employees of CMC and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. The term “immediate family” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage(s), remarriage(s), adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household whether or not related.
4. Internet, Telephone and Delivery Disclaimer. For all contests, the Company disclaims all liability for any delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by email, mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr or other delivery method.
5. Publicity; Use of Personal Information. By participating, where allowed by law, all participants and winners grant CMC exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with promotion of this and other contests and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. By participating in the Contest, where allowed by law, participants agree that CMC may disclose personal information obtained from participants in the Contest to third parties and use such information for marketing and other purposes.
6. Release. By participating in the Contest, each participant and winner waives any and all claims of liability against CMC, its employees and agents, the Contest’s sponsors and their respective employees and agents, for any personal injury or loss which may occur from the conduct of, or participation in, the Contest, or from the use of any prize.
7. Conduct and Decisions. By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of Company personnel. Persons who violate any rule, gain unfair advantage in participating in the Contest, or obtain winner status using fraudulent means will be disqualified. Unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing or threatening behavior is prohibited. The Company will interpret rules and resolve any disputes, conflicting claims or ambiguities concerning the rules or the Contest and CMC’s decisions concerning such disputes shall be final. If the conduct or outcome of the Contest is affected by human error, any mechanical malfunctions or failures of any kind, intentional interference or any event beyond the control of CMC, CMC reserves the right to terminate this Contest, or make such other decisions regarding the outcome as CMC deems appropriate. All decisions will be made by CMC and are final. CMC may waive any of these rules in its sole discretion. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITES, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CMC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. Miscellaneous. CMC may substitute prizes, amend the rules or discontinue the Contest at any time. CMC disclaims any responsibility to notify participants of any aspect related to the conduct of the Contest. Rules and winners may also be requested by sending a message to CMC via Facebook or online at www.cincymuseum.org.
9. Compliance with Law. The conduct of the Contest is governed by the applicable laws of the State of Ohio, which take precedence over any rule to the contrary herein. CMC shall follow the applicable laws for conducting contests, including notice to the state attorney general or consumer affairs office, posting of a prize bond, furnishing lists of winners, running specific on-air disclaimers, providing specific written information about the Contest, etc. as required by local and state law.
