Museum Center Presents
Project Vintage Fashion at Union Terminal Sept. 4

See students' vintage-inspired designs and
Museum Center's historic fashion collections unveiled in Union Terminal's Grand Rotunda.

WHAT: Project Vintage Fashion marks the first collaboration between Museum Center's Collections Department and students from DAAP's Fashion Design Department at the University of Cincinnati. After viewing fashions from the 1930s and 40s, currently housed at the Geier Center Collections Facility, students were asked to create fashions of their own. Enjoy cocktails and see their work unveiled on the catwalk in the Grand Rotunda.

Since the 1930s and 40s, Union Terminal has evolved from a train station bustling with travelers, to a shopping mall, to home to Cincinnati Museum Center. Union Terminal is an expression of Cincinnati's vibrant past, and in honor of its 75th Anniversary, Project Vintage Fashion will help bring a part of that past, to life.

Those who attend the event can enjoy a cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to look through various pieces from Museum Center's historic collections that will be on display. Later, the main event, where models will take to the catwalk wearing looks designed by some of Cincinnati's most talented, young designers.

WHEN: September 4, 2008- Cocktail Hour 6:30 p.m., Show 8 p.m.

COST: $35 Regular, $15 Student w/ valid ID. Cash bar. Call (513) 287-7071 to make a reservation.
