Museum Center hosts Bacchanalian Society

CINCINNATI – On Thursday, July 16 the Bacchanalian Society will hold its quarterly event at Union Terminal to benefit Cincinnati Museum Center. Formed in 2002 as a social network for young professionals, the Bacchanalian Society organizes four wine tastings each year to support four different charities.

"We are very excited to offer our support to Cincinnati Museum Center," said John Brenzel, Jr., president of the Bacchanalian Society. "Its cultural, educational and economic ties with the community have impacted all of us."

The event at Union Terminal will take place from 7-10 p.m. in various locations throughout Museum Center. Guests of the Bacchanalian Society will have access to the Rotunda, concourse, Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX Theater, Losantiville Café, and upper exhibits of the Cincinnati History Museum. Many of these locations highlight the trademark Art Deco design of Union Terminal.

"The Bacchanalian Society is a great organization and we are happy to have Union Terminal serve as the locations for one of their fabulous events," said Douglass W. McDonald, president and CEO of Museum Center. "Union Terminal has seen many great events in its 76-year history and I'm sure this will fall into that category."

Anyone ages 21 or older is invited to attend. Guests must follow the "Rule of Three" and bring three bottles of wine per group of three. The wine varietal for this event is French Red. Participants pay a $10 donation in advance or $15 at the door.
